Nathan Rooney’s Colne F.C. recruitment drive has continued, with the confirmation that midfielder, Alex Dodd has, agreed a move to Harrison Drive.
The 20-year-old joined Fleetwood in 2016 following time at Blackpool F.C. Academy and was a permanent fixture in the youth side that season.
When asked about the signing Rooney commented “I’m delighted Alex has joined the group. The lad's a great athlete who loves a tackle. His passion for football is infectious and I know he’ll be an asset for the club and a lad who won’t let us down when called upon. Alex is also versatile across the midfield area, which helps, as we won’t be carrying a big squad”
Alex will now step up his preparation remotely under the guidance of the Fitness Coach Aden Flannagan and will commence training in the coming weeks, as and when the first team return.
