Jon Macken has confirmed his new look backroom staff with the appointments of Steve Atkinson and Josh Hull.
Steve, the Club’s new Assistant Manager, is an A licence holder and previously worked with Jon as 1st team coach at Radcliffe. Atkinson has worked within various Academy systems including Bury & Manchester City where he held the position of Head of B-Tech coaching.
Steve commented “the ambition of the club was a big attraction. We are looking to build on the foundations and obviously hoping to replicate the success we had at Radcliffe.”
Josh who has been appointed as the Club’s new Performance Coach and Analyst has worked in Data Analysis & Strategy for over 20 years, combining both the business and sporting worlds.
Specialising in the application of Performance Analysis in Football coaching, Josh has studied technical football coaching methodology at clubs in Germany, Portugal and the UK and again was part of Jon’s team at Radcliffe FC.
Upon the appointment Josh said
“It's a great opportunity for me to be working at a great club with big ambition. Especially great to be working with a group of players who are looking to learn and most importantly are eager to improve the team performance to the next level”
Damian Sweeney and Chris Kirkland have been retained, and along with Anthony Reedy and Arshad Ranguni, complete Jon Macken’s appointments.
The Club would like to thank departing pair Steve Petty and Paul Bradley for their contributions, time and efforts. We wish them well and they will always be welcome at the Harrison Drive Stadium.
