Colne Football Club are excited to announce that for the first time, they will be entering a Ladies team into the Lancashire FA County Women's League for the 2022/23 Season.

Newly appointed Head Coach, Sean Howard said, “What a whirlwind couple of days for the Club and the team, I am delighted to be given the opportunity to coach the Ladies for the 2022/23 Season.”

“Work will begin immediately with the team to ensure we are in the best position for the start of the season. Exciting times ahead.”

Chairman Ryan Haigh added “it was always our vision to develop a ladies pathway to sit under the Colne Football Club Umbrella. The opportunity to adopt an already successful team was one that we couldn’t turn down though and I am sure we will now go from strength to strength in this area as the season progresses”

Team Captain Liv added “ We have been inundated with support over the last few days from numerous local clubs, wishing us well & offering to help wherever they can. We will be forever grateful of this and if we could thank you all individually, we would!”

“However, Colne F.C. stood out massively in terms of their enthusiasm and encouragement to get the ball rolling.”

“We have now been able to transition over as one unit, which was incredibly important for us. Colne’s level of support, communication and inclusion has been second to none, making the last few days a little easier and of course the move much smoother.”

“Myself and the girls are incredibly excited to get going and are looking forward to a positive, new start with a brilliant, well organised club!”
