Colne Football Club can announce that Geoff McDougle has left his role at the club.

Geoff joined the club back 2021 as Sporting Director, before being appointed Cheif Executive in the summer of 2022.

McDougle formerly served as the Head of Youth Recruitment at Leeds United and the Head of Academy Recruitment at Morecambe. He has also served in different capacities for a number of other clubs including Preston North End, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, and Blackburn Rovers.

His experience in different levels of the game brought a wide range of contacts to the club and has been instrumental in assisting Phil Browns recruitment.

The club would like to thank Geoff for all his effort and contributions during a tricky period in the clubs history.

Geoff will now be able to relax and spend time with his wife, daughter and three grandchildren.

The club would also like to thank Geoff's wife, Linda who has been volunteering on a matchday within our hospitality team.

On his departure Geoff said " After long career where I have had the privilege to serve a number of professional clubs I feel now is the right time to take a break and spend some quality time with my family.

My two years at Colne F C have been two of the happiest of my career where I have made many friends in what has been a difficult period for the club. The board & Committee have always tried to back me up whenever possible with player signings.

The present management team that Phil has put together will drive this club forward, I will look for Colne results & hopefully see you all soon as a fan of the club.

On behalf of Linda & myself I would like to thank you for the special 2 years that have given us many great memories. Up the reds."
